Escorts Kubota Limited reported a strong performance in its tractor and farm equipment (Agri Machinery) business during December 2025, driven by robust rural demand, favourable policy support, and improved agricultural conditions across key farming regions of India.

Tractor Sales Rise Sharply in December 2025

During December 2025, Escorts Kubota Limited sold 7,577 tractors, registering a 38.5% year-on-year growth compared to 5,472 tractors sold in December 2024. This growth highlights the company’s strong positioning in India’s farm mechanisation segment amid rising demand for reliable and fuel-efficient tractors.

Domestic Tractor Market Shows Sustained Momentum

Domestic tractor sales stood at 6,828 units in December 2025, marking a 36.1% increase over 5,016 units sold in the same month last year.

The domestic tractor industry continued its strong momentum due to multiple supportive factors, including:

  • Farmer-friendly government policies
  • Lower GST rates on agricultural machinery
  • Ongoing state-level subsidies are improving tractor affordability

Quarterly Performance Reflects Stable Expansion

For the October–December quarter (Q3 FY26), Escorts Kubota’s agri machinery business showed consistent improvement:

  • Domestic tractor sales reached 35,373 units, up from 31,585 units in the same quarter last year, reflecting 12.0% growth
  • Export tractor volumes increased to 1,582 units, compared to 971 units in the previous year, registering a strong 62.9% growth.
  • Total tractor sales for the quarter stood at 36,955 units, compared to 32,556 units last year.

Nine-Month Performance Highlights Industry Confidence

For the April to December period of FY26, Escorts Kubota Limited recorded steady growth across domestic and export markets:

  • Domestic tractor sales reached 96,550 units, up from 85,762 units last year
  • Export tractor volumes rose significantly, contributing to overall business expansion.on
  • Total tractor sales during the nine months increased to 1,01,413 units, compared to 88,921 units in the previous year, reflecting 14.0% growth.
