Escorts Kubota Tractor Sales Report: July 2026

Escorts Kubota Limited announced its results for the Agri Machinery Business for July 2026, which ended with a rise in its tractor business. It sold a total of 8,731 tractors during the month, which increased by 22% year-on-year (YoY) compared to 7,154 sold in July 2025. The improvement was mainly on the back of favourable domestic demand, better monsoon weather and the good performance of agriculture in the country.

Its local tractor sales continued to be the cornerstone of its sales. In the Indian market, Escorts Kubota sold 8,194 tractors in July 2026, as compared to 6,624 sold in the same month last year. This is an increase of 23.7% YoY, which is healthy demand in both wholesale and retail markets. The company says rural sentiment and rising farm mechanisation have remained solid support for domestic tractor sales.

The improvement of monsoon rainfall during July was one of the key contributors to the good sales results. The overall rainfall deficit was reduced to approximately 14-15% due to better rainfall, which increased farmers' confidence regarding soil moisture and agricultural activities. Moreover, the farmers' activities in Kharif crop sowing were progressing at a fast pace, which provided a conducive environment for agricultural operations and initiated the farmers' investment in tractors and farm equipment.

Escorts Kubota also reported average performance in its exports. The company exported 537 tractors in July 2026, compared to 530 units during the same month last year. This led to an increase in export sales of 1.3% compared to the previous year, indicating relatively stable demand from foreign markets despite the uncertainties in the global economy.

Escorts Kubota has now started its positive trajectory in the first four months of FY2026-27. Between April and July 2026, the company sold a total of 45,593 tractors, compared to 37,735 units during the same period of FY2025-26, registering an overall 20.8% growth.

The main growth was from domestic sales during the cumulative period. In the Indian market, sales of Tractors rose by 23.1 per cent to 43,651 in the current financial year compared with 35,472 in the preceding year. But the export performance was not good for this four-month period: exports fell from 2263 units to 1942 units, which is a 14.2% drop.

Sales momentum was maintained throughout July, aided by better monsoon weather, healthy wholesale and retail demand, along with better Kharif sowing activities, the company said. The improved rainfall has improved farmer confidence and led to the investment in agricultural machinery in major farming areas.

In the near future, Escorts Kubota anticipates that rural demand will continue to be strong. The Kharif crop, however, remaining monsoon season, higher cost of agricultural inputs, delayed festive season in the third quarter, and larger sales volume in the previous year are expected to continue impacting tractor demand, the company said. However, despite these hurdles, Escorts Kubota is optimistic about the future of the Indian agricultural machinery market as mechanisation is gradually moving from the initial phases to a more serious level in the country.
