The Indian tractor industry showed a good performance in April 2026, with total retail sales amounting to 75,109 units compared to April 2025, when the total retail sales were 60,956 units. This represents a good 23.07% year on year increase, which has been propelled by high rural demand and preparation of the Kharif season.
Although the overall industry experienced a rapid growth, brand-wise performance was mixed, with some companies performing better than the industry and others losing market share.

- Growth: 20.23%
- Market Share: 22.49% (down from 23.05%, change: -0.56%)
Swaraj Tractors
- Sales: 14,598 units (vs 11,608 units)
- Growth: 25.73%
- Market Share: 19.44% (up from 19.04%, change: +0.40%)
International Tractors Limited
- Sales: 10,472 units (vs 7,788 units)
- Growth: 34.53%
- Market Share: 13.94% (up from 12.78%, change: +1.16%)
Escorts Kubota Limited
- Sales: 8,580 units (vs 6,363 units)
- Growth: 34.83%
- Market Share: 11.42% (up from 10.44%, change: +0.98%)
TAFE Limited
- Sales: 8,437 units (vs 6,846 units)
- Growth: 23.25%

Key Highlights
- Mahindra & Mahindra was the market leader, although it slightly lost market share.
- Swaraj Tractors has achieved huge growth and has enhanced its status.
- International Tractors Limited and Escorts Kubota Limited had grown far beyond the average in the industry.
- CNH Industrial had the greatest growth rate among other leading brands.
- TAFE Limited and Eicher Tractors did not experience any fluctuations in performance.

- Smaller brands were still struggling with a downward trend in sales and an ever-growing competitive pressure.
