Mahindra’s Statement

Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said “We have sold 50,208 tractors in the domestic market during September 2026. The year-on-year decline in volumes is primarily attributable to the festive season shift, commencing in October this year, as compared with September last year.

The comparison is also impacted by a higher base in September 2025, which benefited from the implementation of the GST rate cut during the period. In the exports market, we have sold 1,892 tractors”

Conclusion

Mahindra recorded a 23% decline in domestic tractor sales in September 2026, with 50,208 units sold. The company attributed the decline mainly to the festive season shifting to October and the higher sales base created by the GST rate cut in September 2025.
