VST Tillers Tractors Ltd posted robust financial results for the first quarter of FY2026-27, with consolidated profit increasing 9.36% YoY to ₹48.73 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2026. In the same quarter last year, the company had reported a profit of ₹44.56 crore.
The growth was supported by strong sales of power tillers and power weeders, along with higher revenue. However, lower tractor exports and a significant decline in power reaper sales limited the overall performance during the quarter.
VST Tillers Tractors' revenue from operations rose 11% YoY to ₹313.4 crore, compared with ₹282.5 crore in the same period last year.
The company achieved this growth despite supply disruptions during the quarter. Higher sales across key agricultural machinery categories contributed to the increase in revenue.
The company's operating performance also remained positive during the quarter. EBITDA increased 7.5% to ₹40.29 crore, compared with ₹37.50 crore in Q1 of the previous year.
The operational EBITDA margin stood at 12.85% during the quarter. The company maintained profitability despite pressure from rising commodity costs.
Power tillers continued to remain one of the key growth areas for VST Tillers Tractors.
The company sold 13,801 power tillers in Q1, up 17.9% from 11,701 units sold in the same quarter last year. The increase reflects continued demand for compact agricultural machinery among farmers and small-scale agricultural users.
VST Tillers Tractors also recorded growth in its domestic tractor business. The company sold 985 tractors in the domestic market, compared with 943 units in the corresponding quarter last year.
This represents a 4.5% year-on-year increase, indicating steady demand for the company's tractors in the Indian market.
The company's tractor export business remained under pressure despite improvement in domestic sales.
VST Tillers Tractors exported 275 tractors during the quarter, compared with 312 units in the same quarter last year. This represents a decline of approximately 12% year-on-year.
The increase in domestic tractor sales was partly offset by the decline in tractor exports.
Power weeders recorded the highest volume growth among the company's major product categories.
VST Tillers Tractors sold 3,680 power weeders in Q1, compared with 2,349 units in the same quarter last year. Sales therefore increased by 56.7% YoY.
The sharp growth indicates rising demand for mechanised agricultural solutions.
Power reaper sales, however, witnessed a significant decline during the quarter.
The company sold 28 power reapers, compared with 80 units in the same quarter last year. This represents a 65% decline.
The sharp fall in power reaper sales was one of the weaker areas of the company's product performance during the quarter.
VST Tillers Tractors posted a mixed but overall positive performance in the June 2026 quarter. Strong growth in power tiller and power weeder sales, along with higher domestic tractor sales, helped drive revenue and profitability.
Meanwhile, tractor exports and power reaper sales remain areas to watch. The company also faced supply disruptions and higher commodity costs during the quarter.
Overall, the Q1 performance was supported by continued growth in the company's core agricultural machinery business, particularly power tillers and power weeders, while challenges remained in exports and certain product categories.
