Exports and Festive Demand Drive Record Growth

Faridabad, November 1, 2025 | Tractorbird News Desk:

Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL) has achieved a historic milestone in India’s farm equipment market, selling 18,798 tractors in October 2025 — its highest-ever monthly sales figure.

This represents a 3.8% year-on-year growth, strengthening EKL’s leadership in the agricultural machinery sector.

Strong Festive Demand Pushes Domestic Sales

The company’s domestic tractor sales touched 18,423 units in October 2025, compared to 17,839 units last year — a 3.3% increase.

What drove the surge:

  • Early festive season boosting pre-Diwali purchases
  • Favourable monsoon and higher reservoir levels
  • Government subsidies and reduced GST on farm equipment
  • Stable rural sentiment and strong dealer push

Despite extended rains impacting some regions, farmer confidence remained high, setting the tone for a healthy rabi season ahead.

Export Market Gains Global Traction

Escorts Kubota exported 375 tractors in October 2025, up from 271 units in October 2024 — marking a robust 38.4% YoY growth.

This strong export momentum highlights the brand’s expanding presence across Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, backed by an efficient international network and a growing portfolio of export-specific tractor models.

April–October 2025 (7-Month) Performance Snapshot

For the first seven months of FY26, Escorts Kubota achieved total tractor sales of 83,256 units, up 11.8% from 74,475 units in FY25.

Breakdown:

Domestic: 79,600 units (↑10.5%)

Exports: 3,656 units (↑48.7%)

This steady double-digit growth showcases the brand’s long-term market consistency, backed by product reliability, strong after-sales service, and farmer-focused innovation.

Construction Equipment: Temporary Slowdown, Long-Term Optimism

Escorts Kubota’s Construction Equipment Division reported sales of 452 machines in October 2025, compared to 635 units in October 2024 — a 28.8% decline.

This dip was attributed to:

  • Extended monsoon delaying on-ground construction
  • Slow mobilisation of infrastructure projects

However, the company expects a recovery soon as government-backed infrastructure projects — including highways, metro rail corridors, and housing schemes — gain traction in the second half of FY26.
