The Indian tractor industry recorded an impressive 14.84% year-on-year growth in October 2025, selling 1,66,145 units, up from 1,44,675 units in October 2024. Strong festive demand, good monsoon support, and positive rural sentiment boosted tractor sales across all major manufacturers.
Mahindra Tractor Sales October 2025 – Continues Market Leadership
- Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) Group ruled the domestic market with the number of 72,071 units sold, registering 12.04% growth over last year’s 64,326 units.
- Despite a 1.08% dip in market share (43.38% vs. 44.46%), Mahindra retained its dominant position as India’s No.1 tractor brand.
- Models like the Mahindra 575 DI XP Plus and Arjun Novo Series continued to attract farmers nationwide, reinforcing Mahindra’s legacy of reliability and power.
TAFE Tractor Sales October 2025 – Strong Growth with Massey Ferguson
- The TAFE Group, which have Massey Ferguson sold 29,234 units in October 2025, upfrom 16.87% growth compared to 25,014 units last year.
- Its market share rose to 17.60%, gaining 0.31% YoY.
- Driven by high festive demand in southern and western India, TAFE remains the second-largest tractor manufacturer in the country.
Sonalika Tractor Sales October 2025 – Fastest-Growing Brand in India
- Sonalika Tractors stood out as the fastest-growing tractor brand, achieving 37.66% growth with 24,781 units sold compared to 18,002 units last October.
- Its market share climbed to 14.92%, gaining a remarkable 2.47% YoY — the biggest increase among all brands.
- This growth was fueled by Sonalika’s technologically advanced, fuel-efficient tractors and expanding rural network.

Escorts Kubota Tractor Sales October 2025 – Moderate Rise Amid Competition
- The registered amount of units that Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL) sold is 18,423 units, an improvement of 17,839 units sold in October of the year 2024 by 3.27%.
- However, market share dropped by 11.09% compared to 12.33% last year because of the growth of the intensity of market competition in the 40-60 HP segment.
- Even so, Escorts Kubota continues to dominate premium tractor products with its Farmtrac and Powertrac brands in the high-end tractor products market.
John Deere Tractor Sales October 2025 – Stable Performance in Premium Segment
- John Deere India sold 11,893 tractors, achieving 3.57% growth from 11,483 units in October 2024.
- Its market share stood at 7.16%, down slightly by 0.78% YoY.
- John Deere continues to attract professional and large-scale farmers with technology-driven models and strong after-sales support.
New Holland Tractor Sales October 2025 – Marking a Strong Comeback
- New Holland Agriculture posted a significant 23.69% growth, selling 7,105 units against 5,744 units a year earlier.
- Its market share improved to 4.28%, up 0.31% YoY.
- The brand’s steady revival is credited to new product launches and enhanced retail presence across northern and central India.
Other Tractor Brands October 2025 – Regional Growth Highlights
Smaller and regional manufacturers also showed encouraging results.
Captain Tractors grew by 65.92%, selling 443 units, the highest growth rate this month.
Preet Tractors rose 24.54%, selling 680 units.
Indo Farm Tractors achieved 12.99% growth with 548 units, while VST Tillers posted 4.58% growth at 525 units.
SDF Tractors grew 13.40%, delivering 110 units, whereas ACE Tractors declined 10.27%, selling 332 units.
Indian Tractor Market Outlook – October 2025
October 2025 proved to be a positive month for the tractor industry in India. While Mahindra & Mahindra held firm at the top, Sonalika’s record growth reshaped market dynamics.
