India’s Retail Tractor Sales October 2022- Sales spiked by 17.28%

On November 07, the FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Association) tractor sales October report 2022 unveils the retail tractor sales data. The report shows the total retail tractor sales of 53,362 units in comparison to the previous year sales of 45,445 units, registering a massive growth of 17.8%.

Mahindra tractor sold about 12,144 units this October compared to 10,387 units last year. These sales marked a growth of 16.9% in the Mahindra tractor unit sales.


Swaraj Tractors, a division of the Mahindra group, saw a growth of their sales this year by 25.93%. Swaraj tractor sold about 8,800 units as against 6,988 units in the last year. Along with this, the Swaraj tractors increased their market share by 1.11%.


TAFE Limited recorded a 3.3% hike in the retail tractor sale. The company witnessed the highest sales ever by 51.92%. TAFE sold 7,751 tractors in October 2022 compared to 5,102 tractors in October 2021.


Sonalika Tractors noted a 13.7% hike in sales. The brand managed to sell 5,793 tractors in October 2022 against the 5,091 tractors in October 2021.


Escorts Limited registered 5,327 units sold compared to 4,319 tractors in October 2021. As a result, the company managed to maintain its share by 0.48%.  


John Deere marked 4,264 tractor sales in October 2022 against 4,362 tractors in October 2021. The brand witnessed its market share downfall by 1.53%.


Eicher Tractors registered a record-breaking 19% hike in October 2022 retail tractor sales. The company sold 3,124 units compared to 2,625 units. 


New Holland tractor managed to sell 2,066 tractors against 1,772 tractors last October. This sale resulted in a profit of about 3.87% this month. But still, the brand lost about 0.03% market share in October month. 


Kubota Tractors sales rose in October 2022 by 15.46%. The company sold about 1,296 tractors in October 2022 compared against 1,099 tractors in October last year. Kubota tractors overall recorded a loss of 0.04% in the market share. 


Captain Tractors company recorded a 191.16% hike in retail tractor sales. With 626 units sold compared to 215 units in the same month last year. As a result, the company recorded a rise in market share by 0.07%.


V.S.T Tiller Tractors sales rose by 27% growth in October 2022, with sales of 522 units against 410 units in October 2021. The company recorded an increase of 0.07%. 


Indo Farm tractors registered a 0.53% hike in October 2022 for retail tractor sales in India. However, the brand saw a downfall in the share by 0.01%.


Apart from the above-stated brands, the other tractor brands recorded a 51.27% overall downfall in October 2022. The other tractor sales recorded 1398 units against 2,869 units in the same month last year, thereby registering a decrease in market share of 3.69%.
